What to Expect in an Acupuncture Session:

Initial Consultation:
Your first session will begin with a detailed consultation where your acupuncturist will take a comprehensive medical history and discuss your health concerns and goals.

Evaluation:
Based on the information gathered, your acupuncturist will conduct an evaluation to identify imbalances in your body's energy flow. This may include checking your pulse, examining your tongue, and asking additional questions about your symptoms and lifestyle.

Acupuncture Treatment:
Once the evaluation is complete, you will receive an acupuncture treatment tailored to your specific needs. The practitioner will insert thin, sterile needles into specific acupuncture points on your body. You may feel a slight tingling or a dull ache, but the process is generally painless.

Additional Therapies:
Depending on your treatment plan, the session may also include additional therapies such as cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, or electroacupuncture to enhance the effects of the treatment.

Relaxation:
After the needles are inserted, you will rest for about 20-30 minutes. Many patients find this time deeply relaxing and may even fall asleep.

Follow-Up and Aftercare:
At the end of the session, your acupuncturist will remove the needles and discuss any follow-up treatments and aftercare recommendations. You may be advised on lifestyle changes, dietary adjustments, or exercises to support your healing process.

*Contraindication for our Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture includes the following; pacemaker, blood disorders or use of blood thinners, pregnancy, outbreaks of coldsore or shingles, and any recent cosmetic surgeries or procedures.
